New Treatment! PRP Bio Gel
I strongly believe that aesthetic medicine is moving more and more toward regenerative medicine. We, as providers, aren't relying as much on procedures to augment the face temporarily, as we now are utilizing procedures that turn back time with collagen production and skin health to achieve more youthful results.
This is why, after a lot of research, I am bringing in a new treatment and I could not be more excited about it. The studies are promising and watching it being used in practices around the nation has led me to bring it to Raleigh, North Carolina and Cary, North Carolina.
I have discussed a lot about the many factors of aging and not simply relying on one procedure to achieve your results. As we age, our fibroblast count decreases, which causes a decrease in collagen and hyaluronic acid production. The decrease in collagen production causes a thinning in the skin, fine lines and wrinkles and skin laxity. The decrease in hyaluronic acid production causes a loss of hydration and volume in the skin. Our goal in using regenerative medicine is to wake those fibroblasts up and have them continue to produce all the good things that lead to a reduction in wrinkles, an improvement in texture and tone, and volume in the skin. This treatment creates long-lasting results, helping you age gracefully for years to come.
Not many procedures can increase collagen production AND enhance volume in the tissue. But this is where the power of regenerative medicine comes in and utilizes our own PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) to address both! How cool is that?!
PRP Bio Gel is an autologous blend of PRF and protein that creates a regenerative gel for tissue rejuvenation. This is 100% all-natural, bio-stimulating gel with NO additives. It has a high concentration of growth factors, which increase collagen and hyaluronic acid production and also has an immediate volume restoration in the skin (like HA filler) for any areas that have hallowing or deep wrinkles. It slowly releases the growth factors over time which improves skin texture and tone, decreases pigmentation and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. It is the best of both worlds!

Filler in certain areas, like the tear troughs, is tricky. I probably turn away 9/10 patients who want tear trough filler because of the complications profile with filler and certain risk factors.
With PRP Bio Gel there is NO:
No reported hardness, lumpiness or irregularity like filler can have
No immune response: have to be VERY careful with some fillers with this
No nodule formation: Very common for this to happen with filler especially under the eyes (tear troughs)
No Tyndall effect: This is a bluish tint under the skin that can happen with filler, especially under the eyes and if the HA is placed too superficially
